Pedigree
Cristallo 1 (listed in databases as Cristallo 7) is recognized in Germany as his father’s successor.
So much the better, his seed is incredibly fertile.
Cristallo caused a sensation as soon as he was approved as a two-and-a-half-year-old in 2005, then again during the drastic 30-day test: finalist in his Körung, he went on to win the Münster-Handorf test in 2006.
In 2007, he was reserve champion at the prestigious Westphalian Optimum. In 2008, he was Westphalian champion and Bundeschampionat finalist. At the age of 6, he was eighth in the Bundeschampionat. From 2010 onwards, he is a frequent competitor and winner in CSI Youngster Tours with Henrik von Eckermann. Injured, he interrupts his career in 2011.
This is a very expressive stallion with as much power as Cornet Obolensky on the bars, and an excellent character that makes him very easy to use.
We no longer need to introduce his ebullient sire, who bred enormously from an early age and quickly became one of the best sires of winners on the international circuit. Cristallo’s mother won class M and his grandmother class S in Germany. Both are sired by great stallions: Cassini 1 and Pilot.
Cristallo 1’s full brother is the stallion… Cristallo 2, who made his sporting career in CSI with Italian Jerry Smit.

Crossing advice
Cristallo has so many assets that he’s easy to cross: he has amplitude, controlled energy and technique.
It’s best to give him light mares. His friendly disposition poses no problem when it comes to working with small, ebullient mares.
He’s easy to cross, but you should avoid mares of excessive size (170cm and over). Finally, its fertility is excellent.

Because of their regular, fairly compact conformation, powerful topline and happy disposition, “Cristallo” are always very precocious. His biggest winners reached the show jumping roof of the world at the age of 11.
Among its best representatives are Cristalline (1.60m with Adrienne Sternlicht), Castello 194 (1.60m with Henrik von Eckermann), Corbusier (1.60m with Christian Rhomberg), Charmeur 436 (1.60m with Gert Jan Bruggink) and Captain Future (1.60m with Felix Koller) .
