ARGENTO

WAHOO EFFECT!!!

Arko III x Gasper
AES – 2002 – 1.67m – bay

For eight years, John Whitaker and Argento were key figures in our sport. They’ve had a wild play-off run and incredible consistency, culminating in a first-place finish in the world rankings in 2015.

Pedigree

We’ve said it before: Winning 5*, year after year, week after week, right up to the age of 18, is the prerogative of exceptional individuals. These include Galoubet, Baloubet, For Pleasure and a few others (not so many). These extraordinary subjects pass on their genius to their production. Argento belongs to this cenacle.

John Whitaker and Argento won 18 international Grand Prix (as did Galoubet in his day). For eight years, they occupied the top places in the world rankings together. Just as good in GP as in speed events, its power and its respect for the bars were throughout his career. Argento combines elegance and kindness of character.

Argento is descended from Argentinus, head of the show jumping and CD breed, via the excellent Arko III, a big winner who produced very well despite having started breeding at an advanced age.

These products (few in number, since he devoted himself to sport) get the look and its athletic build heritage. He has 28 offspring, 15 of which are of racing age; 10 of them are entering CSI. Bazento is the winner in 1.50m.

BLH is very proud to have attracted Argento to France. He is a a first-class asset for French livestock breeding in thecoming years.

For Sébastien Neyrat, “Argento shone in the Grand Prix 1.60m and knew how to be ultra-fast on the hunt. Well designed, powerful, it has his immense respect and unflagging will to win. The great performers who have demonstrated such longevity at the highest level, while maintaining style, respect and the desire to do it, are exceptional individuals, out of the ordinary. Galoubet, Baloubet, For Pleasure are brilliant examples. The With stallions like these, breeding progresses, and it’s our job as stallion-makers to pamper them so that they give the best of themselves. He joins our other stars to form a gallery of highly complementary stallions.
