Glossary of available seed types

IAF

AIF: Artificial insemination with fresh semen, in the center where the stallion is located. This is a particularly inexpensive and fertile technique.

IAR

IAR: Refrigerated artificial insemination, when semen has to travel from the French production center to your insemination center. From Servas, 97% of shipments are delivered before ovulation.

IARI

IARI: Imported refrigerated artificial insemination. When semen must travel from the production center outside France to your insemination center.

IAC

IAC: Frozen artificial insemination, when the stallion’s semen is sent to -180°C in the form of straws when the breeding contract is signed.

ICSI

ICSI: Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection, describes the laboratory fertilization process used to obtain frozen embryos after oocyte puncture.
